Going for baroque

My baroque wall full of porcelain portraitures of French nobles

Birthday girl with her panna cotta  Things are looking up for her but I don't want to jinx it by sharing

I love light. Our first house had walls of glass. Not practical especially as they were single paned. The house we replaced it with didn't have as many windows but had a cathedral ceiling. Certainly I could put some sky lights in? We put one in but it turned out to be a light shaft that didn't let nearly enough light in. It was pretty though framed in oak and had oak paneling lining it. It was one of the nice features of the house. Imagine my horror when I stopped by yesterday and found it covered in paint!!! I was furious. Steve never told him to paint it though the painter said he told him 4 times to do it. Steve said to paint a dark beam; not the skylight. It can't be undone. This is the final straw in a whole string of incompetence and misunderstandings with this painter so he is to finish up the little work he has accomplished. So angry and disappointed!!!! Still work needs to be done but now I guess we will do it ourselves.

Today was warm and windless. A perfect day for a bike ride but no, we had Allie duty. And tonight, Maya who hopefully will be content to play outside.

Sigh on the painting front. Bigger sigh that you are going to have to do it yourselves.

You need to find someone who can bring back your skylight. It must be possible.
