With spotty wifi, very hard to post, especially photos. These blogs will be edited once I get to a real computer but in the meantime, I will try to post a few photos. The mosaics and buildings are 1500 years old, 1000 years older than the renaissance art posted from Firenze.
We are staying in this fabulous place, our least expensive night. Beautiful terrace lined with orange trees, rosewood floors, beamed ceilings, free wine, juices, apertivi, cappuchini, ultramodern fixtures

Our room on the top floor. Art is all original, rosewood floors, a skylight controlled by a complicated remote, a velvet chaise with Steve's suitcase on it. Mosquito netting. Room number 2. I will ask for it again |

Our fancy bathroom with rainhead shower and especially nice smelling toiletries Note fancy chinoise cabinet |

Common space included 2 levels: fridge full of tasty fruit juices, beers and chilled wine..all for us to take. Also lots of apertifs to try. Also an espresso machine that made cappuccino available |
|
Cute outdoor terrace to sit on See how my apricot juice matches my scarf? I'm stylin'. Orange trees on the terrace were with fruit |

Drab exterior of San Vitale built in the 500s. Unbelievably beautiful inside |

These were all over: Friendly city of women |
|
Dante's tomb once they found his bones hidden by the Ravenna people from the Florentines. He came from Florence but they exiled him. He died in Ravenna and then Florence wanted him back. No to that. |
